  4. Use baking soda to wash your face – Mix a little baking soda with water and rub into skin in a circular motion. Rinse thoroughly.
  5. Use a mild soap – Soaps such as Basis or Neutrogena are gentle and effective cleansers and don’t irritate the skin.
  6. Use water-based makeup – Opt for water-based foundation and powder blushers.
  7. Apply lemon juice – Apply fresh lemon juice to skin to clear up acne.
  8. Apply grated cucumber – Grate part of a cucumber and apply to the skin; leave on for 15 minutes; rinse thoroughly.
  9. Make a vinegar mask – Mix a tablespoon of fuller’s earth with enough apple cider vinegar to make a paste. Allow paste to dry on skin; rinse thoroughly. This treatment can be done once or twice per week.
  10. Keep your hands clean – Wash your hands frequently. If you touch your face with dirty hands, the bacteria can cause acne.
  11. Eat a well-balanced diet – Eat a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables for healthy, acne-free skin.
  12. Drink organic apple cider vinegar – Drink a small amount of organic apple cider vinegar twice daily to improve skin.
  13. Apply an egg yolk mask – Apply egg yolk to the affected area; allow to dry; rinse thoroughly. Repeat daily until condition improves.
  14. Exercise – Studies have found that people who exercise have less severe acne breakouts.
  15. Drink water – Water helps to flush toxins from the body.
  16. Take zinc – Zinc has antimicrobial properties. Ask your doctor if taking a zinc supplement could help your acne.
  17. Use a product containing benzoyl peroxide – Benzoyl peroxide is one of the most common ingredients in over the counter acne medication. It can irritate the skin though, so use sparingly.
  18. Eat foods rich in Vitamin B6 – Foods such as bananas, beans, whole grains, green vegetables and nuts help to regulate hormones.

Remember that everyone’s skin responds differently to treatments. If one treatment doesn’t work for you, try another home acne treatment. If your acne problem is severe, you should see a doctor who may prescribe antibiotics or other prescription medication.

Great list!

To add some more:

Wash your hands regularly and try not to touch your face all to often.
Try not to sleep on your face. This maybe easier said than done though. At least wash your pillow case regularly.

Also not eating any yeast products helps.
